Role

  • Maintains the isolation function between the cathode/anode even in abnormal conditions to prevent internal short circuits.
  • Provides a smooth passage for lithium ion movement between the cathode/anode during charging and discharging.

Composition

  • Base Film (Substrate)
    1. A porous membrane responsible for mechanical strength.
    2. Porous biaxially-stretched PE → New eco-friendly low-resistance developed product
  • Coating
    1. Introduction of safety-enhancing inorganic particles to strengthen heat resistance characteristics.
    2. Introduction of an adhesive layer for the assembly process and long lifespan.

  • Crystal formation through the "Flow-induced crystallization" method to secure the recovery modulus and prevent film rupture of PP film
